Coiledspring Games is kicking off the celebrations early this year having five of its popular gaming titles make the shortlist for the UK Games Expo Awards 2018.
The firm is heading to the annual gathering of gamers and tabletop enthusiasts, UK Games Expo in Birmingham’s NEC this week where it will showcase its portfolio of popular titles and new launches.
Photosynthesis, Queendomino, Go Nuts for Donuts and the new LOKI range from IELLO will all be showcased at the UK Games Expo Show Preview on Thursday, May 31, the precursor to the main event itself.
The company has also been shortlisted across five categories in the UK Games Expo Awards 2018, including Best New Board Game (Euro Style) for Photosynthesis, Best New Expansion for Queendomino, Best Abstract Game for Okiya, Best New Board Game (American Style) for Bunny Kingdom and Arena for the Gods.
Roger Martin, owner of Coiledspring Games, said: “We are delighted to be at the UK Games Expo again this year. Having the opportunity to demo with gamers is great because you get to see their reactions to the games.
“We are really excited about our offering, including the world premiere of RAIDS and the launch of the new LOKI range from IELLO. We have even got some sneak peaks of future games, including a first look at Forbidden Skies and the Kingdomino expansion, Ages of Giants.
“Having five games in the shortlist this year is very exciting and we are looking forward to showing these off on our stand. We really do have something for everyone to enjoy, from first time visitors to family groups or the experienced gamer.”
Further to the UK Games Expo line up, Coiledspring has also seen a further awards nomination for its Panic Mansion title, a game that has been nominated for Kinder Spiel des Jahres 2018, the children’s game of the year in Germany.
